What a run produces
One dossier per company. It opens with a verdict, not a summary:
A no-go is a first-class outcome, delivered politely and with its reasons. The desk's reputation is candor without contempt.
The pipeline
- Intake — the founder states ten headline claims in their own words. Those claims become the test set for everything after.
- The Gate — public-surface checks: entity registries, domain age, site liveness, repository provenance. Four questions any serious company survives.
- Repo report — not “is the code good” but “does the code support the claims.” Claimed features are located and enumerated; claimed scale is checked against the schema.
- Founder interview — a recorded, consented voice interview. Key facts are re-asked in different framings at different points; drift is flagged. Some questions have answers we already know.
- Consistency & score — intake × artifacts × interview, cross-checked three ways. Conflicts are quoted verbatim. No naked scores.
- Dossier — a five-minute briefing over a full evidence ledger, delivered privately to the desk.
Evidence, graded
The word verified appears only on A-grade findings. Every finding ends with the exact command that reproduces it:
$ git rev-list --count HEAD # claimed commit history $ pytest --collect-only -q | tail -1 # claimed test count — by the claim's own method
How the desk operates
Dossiers are never public. Reports are delivered by expiring, signed link to the desk that commissioned them — there is no directory, no permalink, no index.
Interviews open with a recording disclosure and a verbal yes, captured on the recording itself. No consent, no interview — and the declined consent is itself recorded as evidence, never dropped.
The desk vets companies and their public claims. Principal screens stick to public registries and sanctions lists; this is not a consumer background check and is never used as one.
Every artifact is hashed at capture and stored immutably. Corrections append; they never overwrite. The ledger is the authoritative record, not the report.
Engagement
The desk runs by introduction. If a company has been referred to you and you want it vetted — or a founder has asked to be vetted ahead of a raise — write to rgero215@gmail.com with the company name and the claims you want tested.
